Community Involvement
Throughout Northern Kentucky, Jim West has a reputation for honesty and integrity among clients (insurance companies and individuals), judges, attorneys, community members and legal and medical professionals. He was recently elected by his peers to serve on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 16th Judicial Circuit.
Mr. West also co-founded Check Your Genes, a non-profit charitable organization, after losing his mother (age 49), sister (age 40) and aunt (age 45) to hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. As a result, Mr. West is a tireless and effective advocate encouraging individuals that have a history of breast and ovarian cancer to “Check Your Genes” and seek genetic counseling/DNA test to find out in advance if they have a significantly increased risk for developing these deadly cancers. If you are at risk, there are simple steps to reduce or eliminate your risk. www.checkyourgenes.org
